Sporting Initiatives.
At Sourbah Foundation, we believe that Sporting Initiatives are a great way of promoting lives throughout Sierra Leone. These events are superb at bringing people together from the various diverse communities throughout Sierra Leone. This was powerfully demonstrated by the recent Sourbah Foundation Trophy 2026 tournament we organised and ran. They also promote lives by building characted and discipline in the youth.
As demonstrated by the 2026 World Cup, sports has a powerful way of bringing people together from diverse backgrounds in a spirit of joyous participation and friendly competition. On a national level this was also demonstrated by the 2026 Sourbah Foundation Trophy tournament in Sierra Leone. People from the various districts and communities came together and contributed to making the event a resounding success. From the various teams, officials, organisers and fans we are grateful to all who contributed.
We believe that this demonstration of community spirit and togetherness can be translated beyond sports and can empower us in improving lives through other community development initiatives.
In addition to bringing individuals and communities together, sports is a powerful means of developing discipline and character in youth. In fact, for this contribution to youth development, the Sourbah Foundation was honored with the Certificate of Appreciation by Kenema District Football Association (KDFA) on the 11th of March 2026. We are grateful for this recognistion and encourage others to join us in making a difference for our youth.
