At Sourbah Foundation, we believe that working together we can make a difference and transform the lives of individuals and communities throughout Sierra Leone.

In addition to the aforementioned sporting initiatves, Sourbah Foundation supports and sponsors initiatives to improve access to hospitals & local healthcare services, schooling & education and employment opportunities for youth.

Education

Mohamed did his primary and secondary education in Sierra Leone. He attended the Prestigious Bo Government Secondary School established for the sons of chiefs as a nominee. Mohamed also attended Koidu Secondary School in Kono district, Shelenker secondary school in Port Loko district and Albert Academy Secondary School in Freetown before moving to England during the civil war that engulfed Sierra Leone.

In England, Mohamed studied Law at the then London Guildhall University now London Metropolitan University, where he obtained an LLB Honours degree and proceed to study for the Legal Practice Course with London Metropolitan University. Mohamed trained with Central Law Practice in London where he qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Courts of England and Wales.

Marital Life

In 1994, Mohamed met the then Miss Haja Isatu Sillah, a Sierra Leonean national in England. Haja is Mandingo and Loko by tribe. She is a Nurse and Midwife by Profession. Mohamed and Haja formed a relationship and engaged to be married in 1997 and married in September 2000 in London. Mohamed and Isatu now have four children.

Mohamed Sourbah is a practicing lawyer by profession and owner and director of a law firm in the United Kingdom. He has established a strong connection with Sierra Leone in the sports and business communities. In 2007, Mohamed formed a Company Crystal Sky Sierra Leone Limited to trade in Diamonds and precious stones. He obtained a diamond exporters licence to enable him to legitimately export diamonds from Sierra Leone to the United Kingdom and other parts of the world. He ensured that all his merchandise were Kimberly certified and worked with the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London to ensure he abides by the laws of the country. He obtained a further licence the following year.

He established contacts with some famous diamond dealers and miners in Kenema and Kono districts and other parts of Sierra Leone. Mohamed also has interests in Gold and other mineral resources and would encourage ventures into such business interests.

Mohamed is also a staunch supporter of Football and Sports. In his school days, played for Diamond stars Jr in Kono district and for Giants of Brazil in Lumley Freetown. Mohamed and his friends sponsored Diamond stars football club, a premier division in Sierra Leone, one of the first district teams to win the current premiership in Sierra Leone.

Mohamed is passionate about law and order and in the promotion of Human Rights and democracy. He has demonstrated his economic prowess by not only studying for and becoming a practicing lawyer in the United Kingdom but establishing a successful law firm, Orwillo and co solicitors. His practice is a category one firm and has for the second time running secured a Legal Aid Contract with the Legal Aid Agency and also the Specialist Quality Mark in providing Criminal defence work in the United Kingdom.

In Immigration law and practice, Mohamed was accredited to the Law society Immigration accreditation scheme. He is a senior Immigration worker in the United Kingdom. Mohamed was part of the Sierra Leoneans who championed and persuaded Members of parliaments (MP) in the UK to grant a policy in 2002 to grant Sierra Leoneans, a discretionary leave policy to remain in the United Kingdom following the civil war in Sierra Leone.

Mohamed has worked with his local communities in London and has assisted immigrants from all over the world, and particularly Sierra Leoneans, to not only settle and gain meaningful state benefits to assist integration including housing and other state benefits but also naturalise plenty as British citizens to be a part of the system.

In London, Mohamed has assisted a lot of charities. He assisted Bekka a charity organisation obtains a lease with Southwark Counsel, and his legal fees were free. He did this to promote religious cohesion in the community and support the Bekka Mosque at the Old Kent Road in London.

Mohamed and his friends formed the Kono Youth Development Association. This organisation sponsored Diamond Stars of Kono in 2012 to win the Sierra Leone premier league, one of the first district to do so.

During the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone Mohamed and his friends organised through the Kono Youth Development association to provide necessities to the Kono people during that time.

In 2025, Mohamed decided to set up the Sourbah Foundation. The Aim is to assist the youth in Sierra Leone through Sports and other community developments. The Foundation is fully registered and now operational in Sierra Leone. The Foundation has held its first tournament, the Sourbah Trophy 2026. This competition was held in Kono, Bombali Kenema, Bo and Moyamba Districts and the Western Area in Majay Town and at the Central Prade Grounds in Freetown. In 2026, Mohamed decided to enter politics. He has formed the Alliance for Development and Peace Party (ADPP) and is in the process of registering it as a political party in Sierra Lone to take on the established parties of SLPP and APC and introduce change that is reflected all-round the country in the 2028 General and Presidential elections.

Mohamed and The ADPP enter Sierra Leone's political arena with a strategic advantage that, when properly understood, is greater than any previous analysis has captured. The party's leader is not simply a diaspora lawyer with an international network. He is a son of the Sherbro-Mende community of Southern Sierra Leone, with deep family roots in Moyamba District; a proven community investor who built the Sourbah Foundation — serving young Sierra Leoneans in education, sports, and entrepreneurship — before he ever asked for a single vote; and a man who has maintained continuous, genuine engagement with Sierra Leone through frequent documented visits over many years.

These three facts — heritage, investment, and presence — transform the ADPPs leadership profile from one that requires defence to one that demands pride. Together they constitute the most compelling political biography in Sierra Leone's current political landscape. They are the narrative foundation of this plan. The ADPP is positioned to break Sierra Leone's sixty- year tribal duopoly. The country is ready. The electorate — particularly the youth majority, the urban professional class, the Sherbro and southern communities underserved by the SLPP, the tribally diverse communities of Kono and Freetown, and the millions of Sierra Leoneans are tired of choosing between two tribal machines — is available. The resources, through the diaspora network, international democracy funds, and the Foundation's existing community relationships, are mobilizable.

Having observed the political landscape in Sierra Leone, it is obvious that a country which has gained independence from the British since 1961 is yet to be able to provide good quality lifestyles for its people. The political situation is deeply divided along tribal and regional lines, and the Alliance for Development and Peace Party is here to bring all Sierra Leoneans together.

Mohamed and the ADPP are prepared to take on the establishment for the much-needed change Sierra Leonean have been awaiting and urges every patriotic Sierra Leone to support our movement in our bid to take control of our country and make our people enjoy their birth rights.
